This Privacy Policy explains how ENS Live (“ENS”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, processes, and protects information obtained from advertisers, partners, publishers, platform users, and visitors who interact with:

  • ENS Advertiser Center

  • ENS Ads network

  • ENS Ads Manager

  • Related advertising technologies and tools

Together, these are referred to as the “Platform”.

This Policy applies to all services offered under ENS Ads and ENS Ads Manager, including:

  • Ad serving and delivery

  • Campaign management

  • Analytics and reporting

  • Payout and billing processing

  • Integrations with third-party platforms

  • All associated tools, dashboards, and APIs

By accessing or using the ENS Advertiser Center or any part of the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.


1. Definitions

Platform
ENS Advertiser Center, ENS Ads infrastructure, ENS Ads Manager, ad servers, dashboards, APIs, reporting tools, and all related services and technologies.

Advertiser
Any individual, company, agency, or entity that uses ENS Ads to create, manage, or run advertising campaigns.

Publisher
Any individual or entity using ENS Partner Monetization to earn revenue by displaying ENS Ads on their platform, website, app, or other digital property.

User
Visitors, viewers, or audiences who are served ads through the ENS Ads network on websites, apps, or other platforms.

Personal Data
Any information that can identify an individual directly or indirectly (for example, name, email address, phone number, or identifiers linked to a person).

Technical Data
Device, browser, network, and interaction information collected during ad delivery and Platform usage (for example, IP address, user agent, screen size, and similar data).

Third-Party Services
External platforms or providers integrated with ENS Ads, including but not limited to video platforms, payment processors, analytics tools, hosting providers, and OTT services.


2. Information We Collect

We collect different types of information depending on how you interact with the Platform.

A. Account & Registration Information

Collected when you create or manage an advertiser or publisher account:

  • Full name

  • Business or company name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Physical address (if provided)

  • Login credentials (such as username and password)

  • Account preferences and settings

This information is used to create and manage your account, communicate with you, and provide access to Platform features.


B. Billing & Payout Information

Collected to process payments and payouts:

  • Bank account details

  • Mobile money details

  • Payment transaction records

  • Billing history

  • Tax information where required by law

This information is used for invoicing, payouts to publishers, reconciliation, and compliance with financial and tax regulations.


C. Campaign & Advertisement Information

Collected when you create and manage campaigns:

  • Ad creatives (video, image, text, VAST tags, VMAP tags)

  • Campaign targeting settings (e.g., geography, device type, audience segments where applicable)

  • Budget configuration and bidding settings

  • Scheduling preferences (start/end dates, time-of-day settings)

  • Zone and placement selection (where ads will appear)

  • Performance metrics (impressions, clicks, views, completion rate, and similar statistics)

This information is used to deliver, optimize, and report on your advertising campaigns.


D. Technical & Device Data (Collected Automatically)

When ads are delivered or when you interact with the Platform, we may automatically collect Technical Data such as:

  • IP address

  • User agent (UA)

  • Browser type and version

  • Device type and operating system

  • Screen width and height

  • Language settings

  • Referrer URL (the page that led to the ad request)

  • Page URL and domain where the ad is displayed

  • Timestamp of the request or interaction

  • Cachebuster values (to prevent caching and ensure fresh ad delivery)

  • Device identifiers where available (e.g., mobile advertising IDs)

  • Do Not Track (DNT) and Limit Ad Tracking (LMT) flags

  • GDPR and privacy consent flags when provided (e.g., consent strings, privacy signals)

This data helps us deliver ads, measure performance, and maintain the security and integrity of the Platform.


E. Integration Data

When ENS Ads is integrated with third-party platforms (such as video streaming systems, websites, mobile apps, or OTT platforms), we may process technical and event data required for:

  • Ad request handling

  • Ad insertion and playback

  • Tracking impressions, clicks, and views

  • Reporting and analytics

The exact data collected depends on the integration and the configuration chosen by the advertiser or publisher.


F. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags, and local storage) to:

  • Improve ad delivery and relevance

  • Prevent fraud and invalid traffic

  • Measure performance and engagement

  • Maintain session integrity and login states

Cookies may be set by ENS or by authorized third-party partners involved in ad delivery and measurement.


3. How We Collect Information

We collect information through several methods:

  • Direct input during registration: When you sign up, update your profile, or configure your account.

  • Campaign setup forms: When you create or edit campaigns, upload creatives, or set targeting.

  • API integrations: When your systems connect to our APIs to send or receive data.

  • Automatic logging during ad serving: When an ad request is made or an ad is displayed, clicked, or viewed.

  • Cookies and tracking technologies: When you or Users interact with sites, apps, or players that use ENS Ads.

  • Third-party integrations: When we receive data from integrated platforms (e.g., video players, OTT services, analytics tools).

  • Support communications: When you contact us via email, support tickets, or other channels.


4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Provide advertising services: To operate the Platform, deliver ads, and manage campaigns.

  • Deliver ads to appropriate audiences: To use targeting settings and contextual signals to show relevant ads.

  • Process advertiser payments and publisher payouts: To handle billing, invoicing, and revenue distribution.

  • Monitor campaign performance: To measure impressions, clicks, views, conversions, and other metrics.

  • Prevent fraud and abuse: To detect invalid traffic, suspicious activity, and misuse of the Platform.

  • Improve platform reliability and performance: To troubleshoot issues, optimize systems, and enhance user experience.

  • Generate reports and analytics: To provide advertisers and publishers with dashboards, reports, and insights.

  • Provide customer support: To respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and offer guidance.

  • Comply with legal obligations: To meet regulatory requirements, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our terms.

We process Personal Data and Technical Data only as necessary for these purposes and in accordance with applicable laws.


5. Ad Delivery Data Processing

When an ad request is made from a website, app, or video platform integrated with ENS Ads, our systems may process technical parameters such as:

  • {ip} – IP address

  • {ua} – User agent

  • {lang} – Language settings

  • {ref} – Referrer URL

  • {page} – Page URL

  • {pageDomain} – Domain of the page

  • {width} – Screen or player width

  • {height} – Screen or player height

  • {timestamp} – Time of the request

  • {deviceId} – Device identifier where available

  • {ifa} – Advertising identifier (e.g., IDFA, GAID) where available

  • {ifaType} – Type of advertising identifier

  • {dnt} – Do Not Track flag

  • {lmt} – Limit Ad Tracking flag

  • {gdpr} – GDPR applicability flag

  • {gdpr_consent} – GDPR consent string where provided

  • {us_privacy} – US privacy string where applicable

This data is used for:

  • Ad targeting (e.g., contextual or limited audience-based targeting)

  • Frequency control (limiting how often a User sees the same ad)

  • Fraud prevention (detecting invalid or suspicious traffic)

  • Reporting accuracy (ensuring correct counting of impressions, clicks, and views)

We do not use this data to personally identify individual Users. It is processed primarily in aggregated or pseudonymous form for advertising and analytics purposes.


6. Information Sharing

We do not sell Personal Data.

We may share information with:

  • Hosting providers: To store and serve Platform data and content.

  • Payment processors: To process payments, payouts, and financial transactions.

  • Analytics services: To measure performance, detect anomalies, and improve services.

  • Video and OTT platforms: To enable ad insertion, playback, and reporting within integrated players and services.

  • Technical partners required for ad delivery: Such as content delivery networks (CDNs), ad verification providers, or measurement partners.

  • Legal authorities: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights, Users, or the public.

When we share data with third parties, we do so under appropriate agreements and safeguards to protect your information.


7. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for data transmitted between your browser or systems and our servers.

  • Secure server environments with restricted physical and logical access.

  • Access control measures to limit data access to authorized personnel and systems.

  • Activity monitoring to detect unusual or unauthorized access attempts.

  • Regular system updates and security patches to reduce vulnerabilities.

Despite these measures, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are encouraged to use strong passwords, protect your login credentials, and notify us of any suspected unauthorized access.


8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide and maintain the services you use

  • Meet legal, regulatory, and tax requirements

  • Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

  • Maintain accurate business and financial records

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and applicable laws.

Advertisers and publishers may request deletion of their account data, subject to:

  • Operational needs (e.g., maintaining minimal records for fraud prevention)

  • Legal obligations (e.g., financial record-keeping requirements)

Where deletion is not possible, we will take steps to restrict processing to the minimum necessary.


9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction and applicable laws, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the Personal Data we hold about you.

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • Request deletion of your Personal Data where applicable (subject to legal and operational constraints).

  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities, such as direct marketing or profiling, where applicable.

10. Third-Party Integrations

ENS Ads integrates with various third-party platforms and services, including:

  • Video players and streaming platforms

  • OTT (Over-The-Top) services

  • Analytics and measurement systems

  • Payment gateways and financial service providers

These third parties may collect and process data according to their own privacy policies and practices. ENS is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party platforms you use in connection with ENS Ads.


11. Children’s Privacy

ENS Ads and the ENS Advertiser Center are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as reasonably possible.


12. International Data Processing

Data processed by ENS may be stored or processed on servers located outside Uganda, depending on our hosting providers, technical infrastructure, and third-party integrations.

By using the Platform, you:

  • Acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

  • Consent to such international transfers and processing, subject to applicable legal safeguards.

Where required, we will implement appropriate measures to protect data during international transfers.


13. Cookies Policy

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Session management: Keeping you logged in and maintaining your session state.

  • Performance monitoring: Measuring load times, usage patterns, and service performance.

  • Fraud detection: Identifying unusual or suspicious activity.

  • Ad frequency control: Limiting how often the same ad is shown to a User.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including:

  • Blocking or deleting cookies

  • Receiving alerts when cookies are being set

Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform and the accuracy of ad delivery and reporting.


14. Fraud Prevention

We actively monitor traffic and behavior to protect advertisers, publishers, and Users from fraud and abuse. This includes:

  • Analyzing traffic patterns and volumes

  • Evaluating device and network signals

  • Monitoring interaction behavior (e.g., abnormal click or impression patterns)

These measures help us detect:

  • Invalid traffic

  • Click fraud

  • Bot activity

  • Other forms of abuse of the advertising system

When fraudulent or abusive activity is detected, we may take actions such as blocking traffic, suspending accounts, or withholding payments, in accordance with our terms and policies.


15. Platform Logging

We log system and application activity to:

  • Monitor security events and access attempts

  • Debug technical issues and errors

  • Ensure service reliability and uptime

  • Analyze performance and usage trends

Logs may include IP addresses, timestamps, request details, and system responses. Access to logs is restricted to authorized personnel and is used only for operational, security, and diagnostic purposes.


16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • Changes in our services or Platform features

  • Legal or regulatory updates

  • Security or operational improvements

When we make changes, we will:

  • Post the updated Privacy Policy on the Platform, and/or

  • Notify you via email or in-product notifications where appropriate

The “Effective Date” at the top of this Policy indicates when the latest version came into effect. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.


17. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from or relating to this Policy or your use of the Platform will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Uganda, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
